Discipleship
Discipleship with kids
Why we do what we do, and how we help every church on the district disciple its children.
Disciples in training
“Children are disciples in training, not disciples in waiting.”
That line from the Church of the Nazarene's Manual (¶922) is the heart of SoFlo KidsMin. Kids don't have to wait until they're older to follow Jesus. The church is called “to attend to all children—to love, nurture, protect, uphold, guide, and advocate for them.”
Following Jesus, including others
The Church of the Nazarene describes its discipleship ministries as “making disciples by following Jesus and including others in our journey of grace.” For kids, Nazarene Kids puts it this way:
“Nazarene Kids is about discipling each child on the journey of grace as they live in relationship with God while following Jesus and including others.”

Where discipleship comes alive
Bible quizzing and Kids Camp aren't side programs. They're two of the most hands-on ways kids on our district grow as disciples.
